I am actively engaged in outreach activities both in person and through social media, with a particular focus on the Portuguese-speaking community. I see outreach as a powerful platform to spark interest in science and to promote scientific literacy and critical thinking. Below are a few examples of my work.
During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a science communicator at the Museum “Ciência e Vida” in Duque de Caxias, Brazil. I delivered weekly educational sessions at the planetarium and the natural sciences collection for school groups and the general public alike. I also took part in occasional outreach events held on Sundays (“Space Sundays,” one of which is pictured here) aimed at engaging the public with science and promoting scientific literacy. This was a deeply rewarding experience that shaped how I view outreach and its powerful impact on society.
